Welcome to North Hero Marina on Pelots Point
Located on the island of North Hero, North Hero Marina is one of the most picturesque full-service marinas on the northern shores of Lake Champlain.
Situated in a well-protected corner of Carry Bay, NHM offers 91 deep water slips and 47 moorings. Services and amenities also include: haul out and winter storage, a marine supply store, gas and diesel, pump-out services, an extensive repair and maintenance service, an open-air café, pontoon and paddle board rentals, and a swimming pool and shower facilities for marina members and their guests.
Walking paths connect to the 17-acre, park-like marina property and offer spectacular views of the broad lake and an abundance of bird, wildlife and nature siting. Click for more information on Pelots Natural Area.
The town of North Hero is peaceful, friendly and as quaint as can be. A visit to the general store, Hero’s Welcome, is a must – you’ll find housewares, fine wine, books, pretty much a little bit of everything – and great house-made sandwiches for a picnic on the island. Hero’s Welcome is located four miles from the marina.
North Hero Marina Crew:
We are fortunate to have an excellent staff with extensive marina experience. Jack Tynan, the general manager of the marina, holds a USCG captains license and is a pro lift operator. Jack ensures your launch and haul is safe, smooth and as quick as possible. He and his crew work very hard to make sure you have a wonderful experience on the docks and marina grounds.
A little bit about the owners/operators, Bob and Kerry Petitt:
As a lifelong boater on the lakes of Minnesota and the mountain lakes of Colorado, Bob appreciates the importance of the marina experience. And as the former general manager/VP of operations of a highly successful Montana ski area, Bridger Bowl, Bob brings a wealth of recreation management, customer service, facility management, and equipment operation experience to NHM. (He also has a 30-year background in transportation logistics/engineering.)
Kerry grew up on the shore of a lake in Northwest Montana where her parents owned and operated a small motel, popular with hunters, bass fishermen, and boaters. She utilizes her professional marketing/business administration experience in the marina office, but mostly enjoys making sure the boaters at NHM can enjoy the amenities and beauty of the property.
